This school year we will be managing not 2 schools as we have the past 3 years, but 3 different schools. I am not talking about elementary, middle and High schools, I am talking about 3 completely different schools with 3 different schedules.

I am sure I will be sending someone to school on a day they don’t have class or someone will have an extra “vacation day”. My husband and I knowingly made this decision and while I feel each of our children will be in a school that best fits their needs, I expect to spend way to much in my car.

We still have a few weeks before this craziness will begin and will enjoy having the kids under my schedule, September will be here and I want to have some tricks up my sleeve.

How to Make  Peanut Butter and Jelly Snack Mix

One of them is creating a Cereal Trail Mix that my kids will have readily available to them so if breakfast needs to be consumed in the car or a quick snack after school,  I can feel confident they are getting a balanced meal.

This PB & J Breakfast trail mix is filled with Quaker cereals the kids love, nuts, dried fruit and some peanut butter chips for flavor.

I headed to Walmart to stock up on some breakfast and snack items for Back to School and found some great items including Quaker Chewy Bars Chocolate Chip (Value Pack – 24 bars + bonus Birthday Cake Bar)Quaker Instant Oatmeal, Original (Value Pack – 20 packets) and Cap’n Crunch, Crunch Berries.

The Quaker Chewy granola bars and Quaker instant oatmeal will come in handy for lunch boxes and quick breakfasts, consecutively. Our family has been buying Quaker for years and know we can trust the flavor and how much my kids love them.

The peanut butter trail mix is super simple to make. Just throw all your items in a large bowl, and mix. Store it in a sealed container until ready to use.

You can even pack them up with some vanilla yogurt for a fun take and go pack. We will see how long this lasts!
