Crock Pot Caramel Hot Cocoa on the Go

Do kids really know what we as parents, do each and every day? Until the time change happens I escort my son to the bus stop in almost complete darkness. In a few weeks I will be holding a flashlight on our third of a mile walk to the bus stop.

Layered up, while my son is wearing shorts is pretty much the look you will see from me. NO complaining because that is what moms do. I never think twice about heading out, it’s my duty and a chance to get to one on one time with my youngest child.

his week I thought I would surprise my fellow bus stop moms with some crock pot Caramel Hot Cocoa to enjoy while we wait for the bus and give us a break from the cold morning air.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCe SHOULD I MAKE HOT COCOA IN A CROCK POT?

This recipe takes about two hours on low, so it might not be ideal to make it in the morning but I am sure your other bus stop pals would love a warm drink on a cool fall afternoon when you pick up your kids for the bus stop as well.

Either way with just a few ingredients you are on your way to a wonderful warm beverage that you can even share with the kids, because they will be asking and smelling the yumminess steaming from your cups.

You bet, every mom deserves a little whipped cream for all that we do.

Top off your whipped cream with some caramel sauce. I know it is the indulgences but how often do moms do things for ourselves to celebrate us and all that we do as amazing parents?

Place the leak-resistant lid on top and head to the bus stop to send off those sweet kids off to school. No worries, the Dixie® To Go allows you to enjoy your hot beverage confidently as the insulated layer won’t burn your hands.

Personally any mom will thank you when they don’t have to clean your mugs and return them. The only clean up you will have with this wonderful cool weather morning beverage is the crock pot and that can wait.
