Dessert Nachos A healthy Valentine’s Day Dessert

I know with all the chocolate and candy that will come home with the little ones, it would be nice to have a dessert that you could call dessert but really was on the healthier side. Why not try Dessert Nachos, a healthy Valentines Day dessert option!

So I am sure you are wondering how does one make dessert nachos. By baking up four tortillas, I guess you could do corn if you can’t have wheat,  you get the base for this unusual but flavorful dessert. We used whole wheat flour tortillas as that is what we usually use for tacos and sandwich roll ups. (see healthier by the moment. think about the fiber I added)

Adding some flavored yogurt, we used plain non-fat Greek yogurt with some vanilla and brown sugar. Then pile on the fruits.

Instead of adding chocolate chips I melted some chocolate chips in a plastic baggie in the microwave. Then I traced out little hearts on parchment paper. I had a guide I was using under the parchment paper. Let them harden and you have a wonderful adornment to this festive and healthy Valentine’s Day dessert. Serve it all year round, especially when berries are in season.
