With warmer weather of spring approaching, not only thoughts of Easter arise but also an increase in my kids sports schedules. With three active kids, all seasons seem to be hectic. However, Springtime seems to be a time of a lot more carpooling and hungry kids around the house, and not just my own. During holiday time, we like to decorate at least 3 weeks ahead of time and thanks to retailers this is an easy task especially since we like to make edible holiday decorations.   We thought we might share some of our Easter Essentials we will have around the house that should keep us geared up for the warmer days of spring and ramped up sports schedules.

First we wanted to share some of the edible arrangement ideas we have around the house. These serve two purposes, it brightens the house and makes us think of the warmer temperatures and the Easter season but also if someone is craving something sweet they can easily grab a quick treat. I usually buy a few extra bags of NESTLÉ® BUTTERFINGER® NestEggs  so I can easily refill the vases.

To make these easy Easter Vases, simply fill the bottom of a glass vase, with NERDS® Bumpy Jelly Beans and then top off with NESTLÉ® BUTTERFINGER® NestEggs, the perfect egg shaped milk chocolates. These are perfect for filling Easter Eggs too.

I found some festive Easter Picks at Walmart as well and just plopped those in between the candy. Super easy and super inexpensive.

I also thought it would be fun to make some NESTLÉ® BUTTERFINGER® NestEggs Fudge. I initially thought the chocolate eggs would show up a little better but they seemed to melt into the fudge but did take on the same flavors. I happened to find the NESTLÉ® Fudge kits on clearance at my store so I picked one up and just added half the fudge to the pan, then the Chocolate eggs than the rest of the fudge. Allow it to cool slightly then add more chopped NESTLÉ® BUTTERFINGER® NestEggs and spring sprinkles.

To display these fun fudge treats, I layered more NERDS® Bumpy Jelly Beans on a platter and then laid the pieces of fudge on top. Perfect for unexpected guests all spring or for Easter Brunch.

Walmart has a great selection of Easter Candy at great prices. Also look out for  SWEETART® Jelly Beans, NESTLÉ® NestEggs, NESTLÉ® Golden Eggs which are delicious additions to your Easter egg hunt and basket. Enjoy some of your favorite brands like NERDS® Bumpy Jelly Beans, and NESTLÉ® Assorted Minis. I wish I found the BUTTERFINGER® minis to add to the fudge but my Walmart did not have this assortment.

As my kids get older, they seem to have an increasingly bigger appetite and I just can’t  keep up with homemade foods. While shopping for our Easter Essentials at Walmart I saw STOUFFER’S® Pepperoni Pizza Mac Cups, 2 pk. I am not going to lie to you and tell you I only feed my kids homemade items, sometimes when they appetites exceed my ability to have foods that will satisfy their hunger, I often scour the frozen section and grab a few convenience foods.
