Summer has been super crazy around here, more so than the school year, and really it just started this Monday. Summer sports have taken over our lives and I feel like the kids social schedule has me in my car all day. This weekend we spent the weekend at a lacrosse tournament and I did not pack enough healthy snacks to get us through the day, luckily I found some healthy snack options at 7-Eleven that not only did I approve but the kids gobbled up.
7-Eleven is a definite after-sport stop for us as the kids are sometimes allowed to celebrate a great game with a cold Slurpie. However, for as much lacrosse these kids played they needed more than just a Slurpie this time. I was thrilled to find one of my favorite snack foods, Wholly Guacamole , in the fresh food section at 7-Eleven in a single serving size. Each serving just 100 calories.
I tried to get them to get the Guacamole and the Turkey sandwiches made with whole wheat bread, that were right above them plus the cut up fresh fruit. No surprise they opted on getting pita and pretzel chips to go with their Wholly Guacamole single serve sizes. Hey it more of a healthy snack choice than chips or a candy bar.
They still got their Slurpies as a special treat and to cool them off. Not considered healthy snacks but a treat.
These are super cute and they open right up, so you can eat them on the go in their own container. Now to choose, pretzels or pita??
One lucky Close to Home reader has the chance to win not only an amazing supply of Wholly Guacamole Products but also a $15 7-Eleven gift card to get your own healthy snacks options on the road this summer.
