We have finally gotten a small break from the rain this spring which brings our meals and entertaining outside. Our kids are older so we tend to invite families over for BBQ’s since the kids will self entertain. When we entertain outside I don’t want to use my regular serving pieces because carrying dishes back and forth from the kitchen to the deck, provides opportunities for breakage. Also if we are invited to a party and bring a dish with us, it is so nice to bring our food in a covered container and not mess with plastic wrap falling off or food falling off a platter during our car ride. I hope the weather in your area is also bringing your meals outdoors and you will enjoy our easy summer outdoor entertaining supplies.
We are transporting some grilled veggie dip and white sangria to an outdoor party this weekend and so thrilled to find the Rubbermaid Party Platter & Rubbermaid Pitcher– in limited edition summer colors Calypso Coral and Lagoon Blue. They are not only fun summer colors but so practical for eating alfresco. We used the party platter for our Thanksgiving Turkey Fruit platter and now using the summer color party platter to make a grilled veggies with Green Goddess Dressing Dip. Transport the veggies and dip in one lightweight two-in-one food container. You can make the Green Goddess Dip ahead of time and store it in the Removable Twist & Seal™ dip container which also rests snuggly into the base for transporting and serving. Microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe these outdoor entertaining supplies are a must have.
For the Green Goddess Dressing, simply add your ingredients to a food processor.
Process until a creamy green color.
Put the dressing into the Removable Twist & Seal™ dip container and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
Cut up your veggies and place them in the divided base so guests can make their own veggie kebabs. People love choices and this will eliminate people wasting the vegetables they don’t like.
Pack up your veggies, dip and bamboo skewers. (you will need to soak them before using them on the grill.)
When you get to the party, have guests make their kebabs. Plus the lid helps keeps bugs out while you are outdoor entertaining.
Brush a little olive oil on them before grilling them to perfection.
Serve your vegetable kebabs with the Green Goddess dressing for a wonder flavor combination.
Is your party a BYOB? Make up a quick batch of white Sangria and bring it in your Rubbermaid Pitcher– also available in limited edition summer colors Calypso Coral and Lagoon Blue. IT will transport well as it has a three-position lid that turns for pouring freely, pouring with ice guard or closed. It is very large so this recipe leaves plenty of room that it won’t spill over when you are transporting it.
Mix your wine and liquor in your pitcher and allow it to meld in the fridge for 4 hours.
Right before serving, add all the wonderful fruits and lemon lime or orange sparkling water.
Pour into wine glasses garnished with an orange slice for the perfect summer night beverage.
- 2 teaspoons anchovy paste or 2-4 canned anchovies
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise (we used low fat)
- 3/4 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped tarragon
- 3 Tbsp chopped chives
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Put all of the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and blend or pulse until you get smooth green dressing
- Serve as a dip with grilled veggies.
