Do you ever get into a recipe rut? Or maybe you really want to try a new recipe but don’t want to invest in ingredients, spices or condiments, that you may not use again? I wanted to share with you a new company I was introduced to PixieBar. PixieBar delivers recipe boxes to customers monthly. Take a peek at the PixieBar Page to see what it’s all about.
There are several different types of cooks I think would benefit from this subscription box:
- The Simplified Cook – PixieBar is a monthly recipe box company used to help people in their quest to cook. We pre-measure and include all the spices for a dish. No unused jars of spices! Also they leave out perishables so both herbivores and carnivores can use our product.
- The busy cook who likes to try exotic dishes: PixieBar delivers your recipes right to your door so you don’t need to hit 3-4 spices stores for that fancy dish you want.
I was able to try the Pad Thai box. Already a fan of Pad Thai I was thrilled to try it.
Who knew that on a busy week night I could whip up some shrimp pad thai for my family!!
It was as easy as putting the noodles in boiling water:
Mixing the ingredients provided for the sauce.
And sauteing everything together. Next time I would use a non-stick pan especially because scramble some egg.
Not only was this easy to make, but it was amazing. The box ingredients serve 4 people. We had leftover noodles for the next day. Next time I would add more protein.
Was it worth the $20 value? Once you add the ingredients, we used shrimp so higher than a tofu or chicken Pad Thai it cost under $30 to feed my family of 5 a dish that would cost more if they ate it out at a restaurant.
