Summer Memories and Fla-Vor-Ice

This post Summer Memories and Fla-Vor-Ice  is brought to you by Jel Sert. All opinions are 100% mine.

Summers growing up did not involve Mom and Dad entertaining us and driving us to 8 different camps and 3 different sports practices. It really meant running around the neighborhood with our friends and coming home around dusk for dinner. I know times have changed and we have to be more protective of our children but are we missing the true meaning of summer fun? Check out the Fla-Vor-Ice Flashback Giveaway to share your favorite summertime memories.

While I am not the mom driving the kids from camp to camp and taking a lot of different mini road trips, I hope the children are making memories of their neighborhood friendships. I remember not having the ice cream truck around as much but having the fun flavors of Fla-Vor-Ice “icees” we called them in the freezer for a cool down snack.

I have been buying Fla-Vor-Ice “icees” for several years in bulk and just leave them in my garage freezer for the kids to share with their friends while playing outside. No need to ask permission, they have no known allergens and they are only about .10c a serving. Kids and adults love them. I have caught my husband sucking one down after working in the yard, his excuse I need to hydrate!

So now that I have introduced some nostalgia into your day, it is time to enter the Fla-Vor-Ice Flashback Giveaway yourself. Super easy to do check it out:

  4. My kids love Fla-vor-ice!! They eat all the greens and reds though. Then Purple and Blue. I have a collection of orange and pink in my freezer now no one will eat lol!

  5. Oh my! NEVER????? Wow. We let the kids eat fla-vor-ice after the tonsils came out. And they were an economical way to treat all the kids in the ‘hood!

  6. My favorite memory??? Well… probably butterscotch pudding with whipped cream at the camp ground with my grandparents. Every time we visited, my grandma had the pudding and whipped cream ready. 🙂

  7. I must have been deprived as a child–I never had Fla-vor-ice!

  8. Oh how I remember these. We ate them all the time as kids. They were always so cold and refreshing!!
