A perfect spring brunch combo-asparagus and strawberries

I found this recipe as I was looking for a side salad for a dinner. It sounded very spring like and knew I could easily find fresh asparagus and strawberries at the farmers market.

I made this a few hours before dinner to allow to marinate. The kids just picked out the sweetened strawberries and a few asparagus. My husband and I liked it but thought it would be a great brunch side salad. I served it with grilled tuna steaks which was light but the strawberries made it too sweet for dinner.

Spring Salad
2 cups of blanched fresh asparagus cut into pieces
2 cups of sliced strawberries.

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tbs honey

In a large bowl toss asparagus and strawberries together. In a small bowl, combine dressing ingredients. Pour dressing over salad; toss. Chill before serving.
