Back to school breakfast just got easier thanks to the New Nature Valley Bistro Cups Oatmeal. This summer I have truly been introduced to more uses for our new Keurig, that has blown my mind. Now to learn there is a way to make a meal with our Keurig, especially for an easy breakfast choice, where will this end:) Unlike instant oatmeal packets my kids used in the past, the new bistro cups make a more robust oatmeal with healthy mix-ins.
We were provided samples of both apple cinnamon almond and Bronson sugar pecan. Both contain 100 percent natural whole grain oats, rye and barley with added nuts and fruits. Note these are not peanut free!!
Now for he ease of use of this back to school breakfast. It is as simple as pouring both the oatmeal and mix in packs into a mug.
Place the bistro cup into your Keurig machine Press the 6 ounce brew setting and allow the Keurig to do he rest
Like an instant oatmeal pack. Just stir the ingredients together allow the cup to sit for a minute and enjoy.
I told you this was easy, and my 8, 10 and 12-year-old kids can do this on their own which helps on those busy school mornings. Clean up is as easy as them throwing the packets in the garbage and putting their mug in the dishwasher. Well maybe if they actually did this!!
Each serving has 300 calories and 8 grams of fat, mainly from the nuts, this is a complete meal to get the kids through a busy morning of school activities. I enjoyed one the morning of an 11 am tennis match and was not hungry until I returned home around. 1 pm.
You could even put the oatmeal in a paper coffee cup for an easy to-go breakfast option.
You can find the Nature Valley Bistro Cups Oatmeal at national retailers such as Target, Walmart and select grocers.
