Doctors make house calls with Doctor on Demand

This is a sponsored post about doctors making house calls with Mums the Word Network and Doctor on Demand. All opinions are my own.

Have you ever dreaded going to the doctors office when you know that you will catch something worse than you already have. Maybe your child is throwing up and you don’t want to put him into your car to drive to the doctor. You think you have the flu but it could just be a cold but you really don’t want to sit in a sick waiting room. Just this winter one of my kids came down with the flu and my doctor wanted my husband and I to come in to the office to get a Tamiflu prescription. NO way was I going to get exposed to flu or cough or something more. I want to share with you how to visit a Doctor without leaving your house with Doctor on Demand.

– Doctor On Demand is launching a promotion where they are offering everyone’s first video visit for FREE

– Doctor On Demand is free to register (the app is free to download). You can enter your code upon registration, store it in your account, and use it at a later date.

-Each patient is given 15 minutes with a certified Dr, Pyschologist, pediatrician or even a lactation specialist. There is a timer running in this face to face call. I made the call directly from my Mac.

-Get a prescription called directly to your pharmacy of choice. It is just that easy. No sick kids coughing right next to you.

After speaking to the Dr assigned to me, i was told that about 80% of their patients right now are suffering from the flu as the flu shot was only about 23% effective this year. So how do you know whether or not you have the flu or cold or maybe just a stubborn sinus infection. With Doctor on Demand they will ask you such questions to evaluate your symptoms to determine your diagnosis and get you a prescription if necessary.

Symptoms of the FLU:

  • Achiness
  • Fever
  • Rapid onset

Symptoms of a Sinus infection:

  • Pressure
  • Runny nose

What do you think of the Doctor on Demand Service?

  1. Wow, it is so cool to see how house calls have evolved in this age of technology. Sometimes I think a doctor that makes house calls would be good for me and my family since it is so convenient. I’ll definitely have to take a look at this service too. I could use this when my kids are feeling just a little sick, and a quick chat with a doctor could help make sure nothing out of the ordinary is going on.

  2. This is really awesome to know! Thanks so much for sharing this & the coupon code for a FREE Doctor on Demand visit. 🙂
