Gorton’s Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks

Gorton’s Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks

As a member of Gorton’s Crew I received promotional item in exchange for this review and giveaway. All the opinions expressed are 100% my own.

When my kids were younger they lived on chicken nuggets and when they got bored we moved to fish sticks. My big concern was all the fried food I was giving them. I know it was a convenience food but with three little kids, having something like this in the freezer is a must. I don’t fry food when I cook so this was a struggle as a new mom. However food choices for kids have improved dramatically and more and more companies are improving their cooking methods and making more healthy choices. I am thrilled to try the new Gorton’s Smart & Crunchy Fish sticks. They are always crispy but never fried. Yes that means they are 50% less fat than the regular fish sticks.

I am also very conscious seafood buyer and thrilled that Gorton only uses 100% Wild-caught Alaska Pollock. Are you a green fish buyer? It also has no artificial flavors or MSG.

The panko bread crumbs provides just the right amount of crunch without the extra frying and fat associated with many brands. Be sure to serve with a side of Ketchup or tartar sauce. I prefer the mix. A side of fruit and a vegetable rounds out this meal perfectly.

  1. I have not tried these Smart and Crunchy fish sticks, but they look delicious! I tried the regular Gorton’s fish and my son and I love it with sweet potato fries! I will have to try the new kind out!
