How to ensure your child has a healthy diet

I participated in a Healthy Diet campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for L’il Critters. I received a product sample and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

healthy diet

Fortunately all my kids eat most everything I put in front of them. They have never been very fussy, at least past the toddler stage and have few issues trying a new food. However, with a busy schedule they maintain, sitting down for a well-balanced and healthy diet is not always possible. For longer than I can remember, I have been giving my children  L’il Critters® Gummy Vitamins at breakfast.

We started giving them these vitamins when they were little and a little less excited about eating all four food groups regularly. Each morning they would receive their gummy vitamin next to their plate. Unlike other children’s vitamins, like the ones my generation ate, these do not need water and are chewy with no chalky residue. (you know what I am talking about right)  They were super easy for the young toddler (over age 2 ) to take without a fuss. Now my kids are ages 7-11 and still don’t mind taking them and actually request different flavor combinations. They are old enough to have 2 gummies each.

healthy diet

I do believe you should not rely on vitamins as the main source of a healthy diet they do serve as a great supplement to ensure your child’s balanced diet. Let’s get realistic making healthy meals even for one person is tough but making 21 meals a day that meet all the nutritional requirements for children is almost impossible. Instead of worrying about it all the time, just treat your kids and put your mind at ease with  L’il Critters® Vitamins once a day. (or whenever you remember)

Do you supplement your child’s meals to maintain a healthy diet?

  1. Healthy gummy bears? How can that go wrong? I always worry that mine doesn’t get enough vitamins. These are great! Great review!

  2. What a great statement, it is true too much junk food and processed food that there is limited nutrients in our foods we give our children.

  3. My kids love this brand. I made the mistake of buying a different brand at Sam’s Club once and I was stuck with 160 gummy vitamins I couldn’t pay the kids to take! I try to make sure they eat healthy meals, but we all still take a daily vitamin to make sure we are getting everything we need.

  4. I do not have children but sure wish they had these when I was a kid!!

  5. my kids love these vitamins!

  6. I do make sure both my children take a multi vitamin. This is a great review.

  7. Yes, Yes, YEs!! Gotta make sure they grow up big and strong..even my baby girl!! lol these look fun, i’d even eat them!!

  8. My boys would love these and it would get those extra vitamins in

  9. Those look yummy! i’d rather eat them than take my pills! lol

  10. We have these too!! And my boys love them just as much as I do (or even more)

  11. I know we had those chalking type of childrens vitamins.

  12. My niece loves these! I wish we had had tasty vitamins like these when I was a kid!

  13. super review–very informative. I don’t really have a problem getting my kids to take the vitamins ether as long as they are the gummy kind like these =)
