When I was asked to review the Tosy Toop Ultimate Battle Field my boys actually hesitated at first. I do not want to bring in toys/ products that I know my kids don’t like from the beginning because then I would not be giving you all an honest review. I had the kids go on the Tosy Future Robot website to learn more about them. I think you know the outcome, they thought it was cool. Now for their review.
My kids are now old enough to try and figure out toys by themselves. Of course since this was for a review, I had to be close by to take pictures and listen to their comments!!
This battlefield comes with 2 droids (perfect for a two player game) and a flimsy plastic “battlefield”. (better than my wood floors) The good thing is it came with batteries, the con was the batteries only worked for a couple of hours. It takes 8 batteries to run both of them and ironically they both stopped at the same time!!
They are off and playing in no time!
Motorized non – stop spinning
Super bright glow
Battle on arena
This definitely entertained themselves for a while. There were a few “he’s cheating” remarks that started to get on my nerves. How do you cheat on this game?
You can control these from above or below but we don’t have a glass top table to use, nor would I feel comfortable that they would not scratch the table.
Here is a cool picture I took with my camera on Firework mode. Wanted to share this.
You can tell from my son’s expression that he is happy to have the game. It is pretty entertaining just not engaging. It kept them quiet for several hours over the weekend and each time they said they thought it was a silly toy they went back looking to play with it more. The game came with “character cards” for each robot but the kids did not seem to into that. This is a good toy for boys ages 6 to 10 in my opinion. For 39.99 it is a little overpriced, especially since you need to add 8 AAA batteries within 24 hours. Find it on sale on Amazon for $29.99 and you have a great option to give a pair of brothers. Another Con is that is it not made in USA but Vietnam. LUCKY FOR MY GREAT READERS I will be giving one away too. ENTER THE RAFFLECOPTER BELOW:
I was provided a sample to review. NO further compensation was provided and all opinions are 100% my own.
