With a sophomore in high school, this book could not have been better timing. Things have changed drastically since the 80’s when I applied to college. Since this will my first child going through the process I am happy to have her journal/ plan her process as we try to negotiate the process.

Did you remember reading SEVENTEEN Magazine? I do, and the book is light-hearted and written for the child, not the parent. Plus it gives her a place to express her feelings of the process somewhere safe.

The process is stressful and as parents, we don’t make it any easier. I will be going through this book with my daughter too or maybe they should have a parent version. Find this college guidebook from Amazon.

 

BTW don’t stress out you don’t have one for your Freshman or Sophmore daughter, the book starts with the Junior Year. So far as a sophomore she has only been on a few campuses picked only for the different size and where we happen to be traveling/living.
