Halloween Oreo Truffles

My children had the day off of school and I thought we would make a Halloween treat. I love holiday themed recipes so it was a matter of finding out what I had in my house and did not have to go to the grocery store. My friend has made this recipe for a Christmas Cookie exchange and since I had most what I needed to make it I thought I would take it to a new level, Halloween Oreo Truffles. I think these would be delicious with Nutter Butters or flavored Oreos too.

Basically this is a no cook, easy recipe that your kids can help with and love to eat!
1 16 oz package of Oreos
8 oz Cream Cheese Softened
Melting chocolate bark, or discs in assortment of colors.
Simply pulverize the Oreos in the food processor until it gets crumbly consistency.
( I had only 2 pkgs of lance Oreos and 2 pkgs vanilla cremes that I mixed together)
Add the softened creme cheese and pulse until it forms into a ball.
Scoop out balls with a mini ice cream scoop or use a large tablespoon and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Place them in the fridge to cool, I only did it for 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or double boiler. Dip the cooled balls into the chocolate and coat evenly. At this point if you choose to decorate them for the holiday, add any candies before the chocolate hardens.
Place the completed balls into the fridge to cool completely. Once cooled you can add decorating gel accents.
I halved the recipe simply because of the ingredients on hand and I made 15 Truffles.
Here is what we came up with!

Eye Balls

Pumpkins
Purple Monsters
