A family friend made these delicious peanut butter bars every Christmas and we looked forward to her bringing us a tin full. Now that I need to make a Gluten Free Dessert, these peanut butter bars are once again coming on top.
With very simple ingredients, you can put these Gluten Free Peanut Butter bars together in no time. Hardest part is waiting for the chocolate to harden so you can sample one.
I made these in a 9×13 pan per my recipe handed down to me, but now I wonder if I should have made them in a 8×8 pan since I remember the peanut butter part a lot thicker.
Unlike other peanut butter bar recipes, these don’t use graham crackers so they are gluten free.
WHAT TYPE OF PEANUT BUTTER DO I USE IN A PEANUT BUTTER BAR?
Great question, I think you can use either crunchy or smooth peanut butter in a peanut butter bar. If you prefer the texture of a smooth bar go with the smooth peanut butter.
If you rather have a little crunch in your peanut butter bar, you go with crunchy. Or if you have both on hand maybe mix them.

CAN I MAKE PEANUT BUTTER BARS AHEAD OF TIME
Yes and yes. They stay in a cool place for at least a week. I would cut them first and then store them in a tight container.
