All Natural Sports Drinks

This post about natural sports drinks is sponsored by Sverve and Bodyarmor. We have a rule in our house that you have to be active for at least 1 hour in sports before we will let you drink a sports drinks. If you look at some of the labels you can not pronounce some of the ingredients. (obviously this does not hold true with a sick child) . Now there is all this hype about coconut water, but to be honest I can’t drink very much of that. What are the choices for when you really do need the supplements of a sports drink when water is not enough. Trust me, my hands start shaking in tennis after 45 minutes of a match or intense practice.

Our family was thrileed when we were introduced to BodyArmour SuperDrinks. Not only do they come in  6 delicious all-natural  flavors, but they have all the benefits of a sports drink but is a healthier alternative to traditional sports drinks. It is high in Vitamins, especially the B vitamins, low in sodium, and sweetened with Pure Cane Sugar.

As far as electrolyte, it has more than the leading sports drink. It contains 10% coconut water, no caffeine, no artificial colors or preservatives, Gluten free drink . The second ingredient is pure cane sugar and each bottle is 2 servings or 140 calories for an entire bottle. I will have to check other drinks to see how they compare.

While water is still our number one choice for both our kids and adults during sports we won’t think too hard before reaching for one of these BodyArmour Super Drinks. They were not too sweet and do not leave any sort of after taste.
