Remember I mentioned having a an networking lunch with three amazing women in my town. Well I thought I would start introducing them to you and seeing their amazing accomplishments. Like myself, they are moms, they started businesses so they can be home with their children. Such inspiration.

Meet Laura Trevey, watercolor artist and editor of the art and design blog, of Bright, Bold and Beautiful. She is also the author of Smart Business, an inspirational Guide for Artists and Crafters. This magazine like guide is filled with wonderful and colorful pictures that would get anyone’s creative juices flowing.

In her guide she provides advice on starting an art or craft business from organization, time management and blogging to name a few of the subjects covered. Some of the segments are expressed in bullet points which I will use as a check list near my computer. Her ideas can span across many different businesses and are not technical just simple suggestions and ideas that have made her successful.

I don’t have a crafting business but just reading through her guide has inspired me to start making over my blog appearance. Let me know what you think of the changes so far, love any suggestions.
