Celebrate Football Season with Candy Bar Popcorn Bar

I am not a big football fan but the boys in my family are. I am resolved to the fact that my TV will be tuned to a Football game Monday, Thursday Saturday and Sunday Nights.

Instead of fighting it this year, I decided to come up with some fun chocolate recipes using Mars Candy Bars. Who would not love to watch football where it featured Candy Bar Popcorn Bar?

HOW TO CREATE A POPCORN BAR

Fall also means being surrounded by bags and bags of candy bars. While at Sam’s Club recently my kids convinced me to buy the 48-count box of SNICKERS® and the 105-count variety bag.

Look at the smiles on their faces knowing we soon would be creating some yummy chocolate recipes featuring these Mars Candy Bars

I don’t think we will have any leftovers for Halloween.

CREATE A FUN FOOTBALL THEMED POPCORN BAR

I found this fun green mat for a Dollar and knew it would make a great backdrop for our football field. I simply cut string for the yard lines and used M& M’s and the snicker bars to create the bleachers and fans.

You can simply use this as a centerpiece for your football draft party or go a step farther and make this super easy Caramel Popcorn for the Candy Bar Popcorn Bar.

How to Set up Candy Bar Popcorn Bar

For the Popcorn Bar, simply cut up all the snack size bars and place in individual bowls on the football field. You can do this before your guests arrive.

WHAT KIND OF POPCORN SHOULD I USE IN A CANDY POPCORN BAR?

Next to make the short cut Caramel Popcorn as the showcase for this recipe. It does not matter what kind of popcorn you use,  homemade or bagged, just be sure to remove all the kernels before making this.

I made the mistake making this Chocolate Popcorn.

Set the popcorn in the middle of the field and supply bowls or Popcorn containers for each guest to make their own candy bar popcorn.

This is a super sweet popcorn so keep the containers small, they can always go back for more. You can also just make a large batch and let your friends dig from one bowl.

Either way, Football season will be more fun when I try out new chocolate recipes using the Mars Bars.
