  • 6 apples – cored and quartered (peeled if desired)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

Do I Need To Peel Apples for Crockpot Applesauce

I used about half of the peels but did not blend the apples.  I would suggest blending the apples if you use peels

What kind of Apples Should I use for Applesauce in Crockpot Recipe

Any apples work but the sweeter the apple the sweeter the resulting applesauce recipe.  

 

How Long will My Slowcooker Applesauce Keep?

As far as storage goes, this homemade applesauce will last in the fridge for a week or two. Or, if you know you won’t eat it all up immediately, it can be safely stored in a glass jar in the freezer for a couple of months.
