Frozen Chocolate Covered Fruit Pops

The past couple of Valentine’s Days my husband and I have shared our dinner with the kids. We have made fondue, cheese and chocolate and the kids love it.

This Valentine’s Day we will be at soccer or basketball until 7:30pm and because my kids are a little young, I don’t to try to put this together so late. Plus it is hard to really make too much of this ahead of time.

So thanks to Pinterest I was inspired by these Chocolate Covered Kiwi bites.
Instead of Chocolate fondue they can indulge in these kiwi and banana pops. Say idea of chocolate covered goodness just now they are premade!!

Cut your fruit thick enough to stick a popsicle stick inside of them. Put then on a piece of parchment and place them in the freezer to harden.

After an hour or so, melt some chocolate with a little shortening, and dip away. The chocolate hardens almost immediately but you can return to the freezer until you are ready to serve.

Here is what you get when you bite!! Experiment with other fruits you have on hand.
