Thanks to the folks at Juicy Juice for sending us samples to facilitate this post about great tween drinks.
Juicy Juice was a staple in our home for several years when the kids were young. However, now that they are older they don’t want to take those iconic juice boxes in the school lunch boxes. I cringe when my kids go on a bike ride to 7/11 with friends and come home with a large soda or iced tea drink. These are filled with caffeine and sugar. The tween/ teen years are hard they feel they can drink what adult might consume, but really don’t need the extra caffeine or sugar. To find a drink that gives them the flavors they crave but with juice instead of sugars and eliminates the caffeine makes this mom very happy.
Great Tween Drinks: Juicy Juice Teasers Taste Test
Juicy Juice Teasers – a blend of fruit juice and decaffeinated and caffeine-free teas – offers older kids the beverage variety they are looking for in a lower-sugar, refreshing beverage that tastes delicious. Like all Juicy Juice beverages, Juicy Juice Teasers contains no high fructose corn syrup, no cane sugar, and no artificial sweeteners. Available at Publix, Food Lion and Kroger grocery retailers in the Southeast and select Walmart stores nationwide, the new beverage option comes packed in convenient 10-ounce single-serve six-packs and economical 64-ounce bottles, in Peach, Berry, Half & Half, and Apple.
I will make decaffeinated iced tea at home but I love the portable bottles of the Juicy Juice Teasers. You definitely can taste the apple juice influence in the half & half flavor but the juice in the Peach and Berry flavors has the kids guessing what is inside.
As far as I am concerned I don’t mind my kids getting the natural sugars in juice in this drink versus the large amounts of high fructose corn syrup or cane sugar in other iced tea drinks on the market.
What did my teen and tweens think of these Juicy Juice Teasers drinks?
Even when learning how to play the ukulele there is a need to take a break with an iced tea.
” I personally like iced tea, especially in the summer. The less sugar was perfect and much more healthier than what I could get at the convenience stores. ” CRL age 14
“I am not allowed to drink soda or caffeine so this is a great alternative and tasty too! Ben Age 10
