I am not fashionista but I do love to people watch! Have you ever seen another mom or woman at a party in a super cute outfit and thought she looked great, but that something was missing? Or maybe you’ve gotten all dressed up for a night out with your husband and stand in front of the Mirror and still think this outfit is missing something? Your husband probably is no help there either. We’ve all been there–we have picked out the best dress for our figure and possibly already had the right shoes to go with the outfit, but there’s a certain something that’s off.

With fashion being over sized and long, there’s an often-overlooked wardrobe essential that can make all the difference: accessories! Today we are talking belts, I have realized having just a black and brown belt will not cut it any longer. Wearing a belt can really change the look of your outfit. I was asked to review a belt handmade from Deborah Elle Belts and my wardrobe is thanking me.

A few great, well-fitting belts in varying widths are definite wardrobe staples. Here are three different styles you might want to consider, plus tips on how to wear them:

Skinny belts in bright colors or shimmery metallic look super cute over a romper or fitted dress. I am a little more conservative and prefer more simple colors. I was given this sophisticated Iguana Double Wrap Belt to review.  It is sophisticated but very versatile. I had not had one in my wardrobe yet but it can be worn over dresses, jackets, shirts or even a sweater.

Well built and simply gorgeous I am sure I will need some new shoes to show off the great new looks this will provide.
Medium-width belts that feature interesting details like braiding or a fun buckle are perfect with jeans and a tucked-in shirt, to create a tailored, more formal look.

Large, wide belts are ideal for cinching and defining your waist and look lovely over anything voluminous or over sized. Check out her Large Suede Corset Belt.
