How to sneak in fruits and vegetables into your kids

disclosure

When things get hectic we are all guilty of poor nutrition. One way I have found to sneak fruits and veggies into my kids is through their drinks. We are not a soda family so when I pick juice drinks they need to provide something amazing besides sweet flavor. That is why I have recently been giving my kids V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers.

V8 Fusion Refreshers

What are V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers?

New V8 V-Fusion Refreshers are a light and crisp juice drink with a 20-25% blend of fruit and vegetable juices that come in four delicious – and unique – family pleasing flavors. Made with both fruit and vegetable juices, V8 V-Fusion Refreshers are naturally sweetened, contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and are an excellent source of Vitamin C.

V8 V-Fusion Refreshers are available in four tasty flavors, Black Cherry Berry, Cranberry Grape, Tangerine Passionfruit and Peach Strawberry, providing premium juice refreshments that will make the whole family happy.

V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers have only 100 calories and 100% of the daily Vitamin C. My kids really enjoyed them and we even made them a little more special by adding some sparkling water. The kid thought they were getting a bigger size and really they were just getting more water that was just flavored naturally.

Like some of the fruit and vegetable products on the market and I have tried to sneak into lunch boxes, the V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers do not have that heavy vegetable taste. The kids did not even ask me what was in these. So it is easy to sneak in fruits and vegetables into their diet. I hope they will come out with juice box sizes of this product we would definitely buy it on occasion.

V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers are currently available at your local grocery stores and retail for $3.49 for a 46-ounce bottle.

Ironically my son did say “Mom this juice is only 20% Juice”. I guess I am doing something right!

  1. I know it is not a good solution for every day but it sure makes you feel better about them drinking something sweet.
