This is really not a recipe so much as a technique my sister begged me not to post about. Well I searched her idea on Pinterest when she was telling me about it and I could not find anything. Thus, the blogger in me wanted to share this amazing last minute dessert idea that is perfect for this Memorial Day. These can be made last minute and trust me they will be eaten up in no time. Berry Bites are great with raspberries or small blackberries. We did not try blueberries but why not, any berry and chocolate combo is a friend of mine.
Last Minute Dessert Idea: Chocolate Berry Bites
No matter what type of berry you decide to use, make sure you have enough time to wash and dry them fully. The chocolate will not adhere to the berry if they are wet and you will have a big mess on your hands
Using a piping bag made for melting chocolate, melt the white or dark chocolate and make small dots onto parchment paper. I like having the parchment paper on a cookie sheet so you can movie it easily.
Immediately press a berry into the chocolate round. Berries are gentle so be sure not to smush the berries.
Allow these no bake Chocolate Berry Bites to harden, either in the fridge or on the counter if the house is cool enough. If you are making these in the summer, a few minutes in the fridge might be your answer.
The perfect bite size treat that make a great accompainment to any dessert you might already have. These make a great hostess gift too.
Feel free to mix up the berries and the types of chocolate you use. Almond bark or Chocolate Discs work well it is just not that flavorful.
Set them on a platter and watch them disappear before your eyes. Chocolate and berries make this last minute dessert that your guests will not be able to resist.
