This post about relief for sensitive teeth is sponsored by SheSpeaks/Crest. I can say I have never had braces but I have made up with dental work in my life. I have inherited sensitive teeth and a cavity friendly mouth. Do you cringe every time you want to take a sip from a cold drink or maybe the thought of ice cream worries you? Outside of pulling all the nerves from your mouth there is a new product from Crest that promises relief. I was able to try Crest Sensi-Stop Strips and put it to the test.
Crest® Sensi-Stop™ Strips are thin, flexible strips that contain an active ingredient used by dental professionals. Unlike toothpaste, Crest® Sensi-Stop™ Strips are applied directly to sensitive areas, providing targeted delivery of the key ingredient that allows for longer contact time on the surface of the tooth. Within minutes, strips build a lasting barrier that helps stop sensitivity pain by blocking tubules, relieving symptoms of dental sensitivity for up to 30 days. (this is subject to individual)
So I decided to try it out on one of my teeth, that ironically has had a root canal but still feels sensitive. I was not sure what to expect but found a tiny strip, similar to a whitening strip just much smaller.
Then simply place on the tooth that is bothering you and wait 10 minutes. Sorry for the bad photo, hard to see it in my own mouth.
I am anxious to see how long the relief lasts. Obviously if there is a bigger problem go see your dentist but I am interested in seeing the results.
Give them a try your self, you can find the new Crest Sensi-Stop Strips are now available at Walmart. According to Walmart’s Website you can get 6 strips of Crest Sensi-stop strips for an everyday price of $17.
