Spring Fever Is In Full Effect At Kings Dominion!

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Kings Dominion, all opinions are my own.

Having two different spring breaks in our house means we need to stay close to home when it comes to a family outing (no pun intended). The boys and I are going to head to Kings Dominion for the first time and check out their Second Annual Spring Bloom Festival.  I have never been to this park and look forward to seeing all the wonderful family fun events that take place from April 3 to May 3.

So, what can you expect when visiting Spring Bloom Festival at Kings Dominion?

There will be free family-friendly concerts, like Debby Ryan and The Never Ending on April 11, live entertainment, unique food offerings, hands-on children’s activities and wonderful blooming landscapes of spring flowers!

A little more about the Debby Ryan and The Never Ending concert: Disney star Debby Ryan along with her band The Never Ending will perform at Kings Dominion. Debby Ryan stars in the Disney Channel Original Series, “Jessie.” The concert is free with park admission. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Concert will be held at Kingswood Amphitheater on Saturday, April 11 at 6 p.m.

What other fun will be going on?

Well, if you’re headed there before Easter, be sure to find Snoopy and his friends, get a family picture taken with Eggward the Easter Bunny or visit the petting zoo. Little ones can test their egg hunting skills with the Easter EGGsploration scavenger hunt or learn from hands-on craft making classes. Easter activities will be held April 3-5.

You won’t be disappointed food-wise either at Kings Dominion, thanks to Spring Bloom: An International Culinary Celebration! Take a culinary trip around the world with Kings Dominion’s Executive Chef! New food stations and restaurants will feature international food items from Switzerland, Italy, Jamaica, and many more! These delicious delicacies will be created using fresh spring ingredients from local Virginia farms. Is your mouth watering yet?

We have lived in Richmond for 15 years, and pass the Kings Dominion sign every time we head north on I-95. I had no idea that Kings Dominion has been around for 40 years this May! So if you can’t make it during your spring break, be sure to head there for its 40th Birthday. The day will be filled with surprises, entertainment and more!

And no matter when you choose to visit Kings Dominion, the thrill rides will be open!

There is something for everyone at Kings Dominion’s Annual Spring Bloom festival! Kings Dominion 2015 Season Passes are on sale now. Hope to see you there!

If not, we plan on also visiting the park later in the summer for the Soak City event, where we get the chance to visit a 20-acre splash-tacular, sun lover’s paradise that features water activities for guests of all ages. Soak City opens May 23, 2015.
