Handmade Mothers Day Gifts or DIY Earth Day Craft –DIY Noodle Frame

I can not take credit for this as an original idea as two of my children did this noodle frame project in Kindergarten. I think it was so adorable and would make incredible gifts that I had to share. It is also a very simple project that any age child can accomplish this with a little help.

This would work great for a preschool project too, using fine motor skills to pick up the pasta! This would make an incredible handmade mothers day gifts or even a DIY Earth Day Craft. Handmade Mothers Day Gifts or DIY Earth Day Craft –DIY Noodle Frame

Tips for Making Homemade Pasta-Covered Frames with Kids

  • Choose a simple design that kids can easily follow, such as a pattern of alternating pasta shapes
  • Use non-toxic glue and supervise children closely while they work
  • Encourage creativity and let children choose their own pasta shapes and colors

DESIGN YOUR FRAME OUT OF CARDBOARD IF DOING A LARGE ONE!

The first one is great for Earth Day as you use cardboard as the backing. Design a large frame and cut it out of the cardboard. Best done with an x-acto knife and by an adult

SPRAY PAINT EVERYTHING

Spray Paint the entire front of the frame with gold or silver spray paint.
