Pull apart cakes are the perfect way to feed a crowd without worrying about cutting a cake and serving with a fork. When my youngest and I were shopping at Walmart recently, I saw Easter Pull Apart cakes that had only 3 cupcakes and thought now that is a fun idea.
Smaller families or just a couple would love these or maybe make a platter of them for your Easter party. Do you ever make a kids dessert separate from adults? Then this is the perfect for the kids table.
There really is no recipe just a techinque to make pull apart cupcake cakes. Start by designing your cake on paper and then executing onto the cupcakes. We had some leftover cupcakes in our freezer from our Ice Cream Cake Recipe, so this was an easier project.

How to Make a Baby Duck or Baby Chick Pull-apart Cake
Arrange three cupcakes in an upside-down V shape.
Pipe yellow frosting for the head then body.
Pipe the wings , overlapping slightly onto the body.
Using orange frosting, pipe the beak and the feet.
Add eyes and a bowtie (if desired)
You could even add green grass but I did not have any green food coloring at the time.
Place them on individual dishes or make a fun platter.
We had one l leftover cupcake and Piped a simple Easter egg on top.
Now that you see how easy it is to create a cake out of cupcakes I can’t wait to see what designs you come up with. We even made a Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Cake out of Little Bites over the holiday.
