What Kinds of Apples Should I use in an Apple Crisp?

When it comes to finding the best apple for your crisp, go with a crisp, tart variety that stands up well to baking, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.

Get a little wild and try mixing the two types of apples together. OF course, you can’t forget about the classic and wildly available Golden Delicious as another great choice for apple crisp.

What Kitchen Tools Do I need for an Apple Crisp?

You will need something to make peeling your apples easy.  Truly the hardest part of making an apple crisp.  We love our Kitchen Aid Peeler, but a traditional potato peeler does the job just takes a little longer,

Apple peeler and Corer is always a great way to prep apples for any recipe.

Apple slicer/ corer cuts your peeled apples into 8 even slices.  Then all you have to do is chop them into smaller pieces.
